Happy midsummer friends!
I know that last time I promised a deep dive into the icons of the Dutch children’s book scene, (and I absolutely will) but this week I got so inspired and excited that I’ve been making tiny lino’s all week. Here are some of the prints I made and the sketches leading up to them.
I’m so excited about this project. I have no idea where it might lead or if my perky mermaid is suitable for children’s publishing, but I love her confidence.
The plan is to make a series of tiny lino’s about all sorts of legendary creatures, so if you have any suggestions, let me know in the comments.
As always, thanks for being here and see you in the next one.
X Maris
