Happy Midsummer!
Just a short post from me today as I wanted to wish you all a happy summer solstice. Temperatures are tropical in The Netherlands, so I am staying mostly inside and keeping cool whilst also nursing an unexpected summer cold. No jumping over fires and dancing around a circle for me tonight unfortunately.
I will be enjoying midsummer in a bit of shade in the garden, with a book (Uprooted by Naomi Novik, so far it’s very good) and taking it easy. What are your plans to celebrate the longest day of the year?

Same here in the UK.🥵 We’re going out this evening to watch the sun go down so hopefully it’ll be a bit cooler then!
