G is for Good Enough
I’ve been putting of writing this post, the first post of the year. I wanted to write something inspiring, something meaningful and hopeful, but lately I find that I’m at a loss for words. It’s hard to go back to business as usual, after everything we are seeing on social media and the news, what is happening in the world right now. I feel different, changed, like I’m undergoing a relearning. Adjusting will take time.
I want to show up here authentically, and that also means showing up when I don’t really feel like it. When I feel that my words and my work are not enough to take up this space, when I don’t have the answers. So whilst I’m recalibrating my worldview, my core values and how I want to show up in this world, I’ll leave you with what my mum used to tell me whenever I felt stuck, creatively, mentally, sometimes both. She used to say; “Love, done is better than perfect.” That is how I’m showing up here today, not perfect, but good enough.
